A doctor talking about clinical depression and the usefulness of antidepressants once told me, “Sometimes you have a brain chemistry imbalance, but sometimes your life just sucks.” That is a true statement. I spent all my savings moving across the country, leaving me with $4 in my checking account. I have a job, a well-paying job, but all of the debts I am paying off keep me from saving any money. I have two different chronic illnesses, both of which can flare up with no warning, limiting my ability to work.
